On Sunday the 24th of October about a dozen or so cars met at the Ingle Farm Shopping Centre at 10.15am for a 10.30am departure, after a quick chat we headed east up Montague Road towards the hills.
Before long we were winding our way around Millbrook reservoir counting the bends, we also had a quiz for the navigators to complete. Before we knew it we had made our way thru and the Garwoods were waiting at the information board across the road from the long gone township of Chain of Ponds.
We made a left turn towards Kersbrook (most of us did with a few changing it to a U-turn and right turn) and headed thru Kersbrook to Williamstown. This is where things got interesting , the difference one word can make, should have been turn left but came out turn right ! A few of us ignored the written instructions including myself and I wrote them and went left but most people had put their trust in my directions and went right. To cut a long story (or drive)short a few members headed out towards Birdwood before turning around and a couple of cars did a scenic loop into Tanunda thru Springton and Angaston.
Eventually all made there way to The Barossa Chocolate Factory , some of us ate there and others ate at one of the many other venues around the area, the food and company was good and a good time was had by all.
Cheers, Gary
