After having enjoyed lunch with some 25 MOTM members at the Morphett Arms Hotel on Sunday 28th August we all motored on down the
“Anzac Highway”
The road aptly dedicated to the Armed Services — SA Keswick Army Barracks.
How many times have we all driven past the Army Barracks without giving it a second thought—??
I have lived all my 75 years in Adelaide and this was the first time I ever went in to see what was there for all to see & appreciate the fantastic display of Military Valour and sacrifice for our freedom and democracy.
The display shows Artillery –Uniforms–Medals and Much more, going back to the Boar War to the present day.
To some of us it would have brought back memories of our friends and family lost in battle
Our Army Volunteer Guide “Peter” was very upbeat and informative “
By the way He always wanted a “MUSTANG “— go figure
Over all we had a great day with fellow club supporters and in a centrally located event in Adelaide.
A thanks needs to go out to the dedicated MOTM Committee & the support of fellow club members
Till we meet again
