Sometimes we’re lucky and the weather goes to plan. This was certainly the case when we arrived at Hazelwood Park on a mild December evening to be greeted by a clear sky, the club’s BBQ already set to go and the car park filling with Mustangs.
This was our third annual “Yiros In The Park” Run and, with thirty cars and eighty plus people attending, this popular Run goes from strength to strength. Thanks, as always, to the great team of people who take care of everything and, by doing so, ensure members have a great night.
Before leaving Hazelwood Park it was my pleasure to welcome new members, Valerie and Michael Mangos, who are the proud owners of a 1967 Mustang coupe. As I so often say, welcome to Adelaide’s leading Mustang Club.
At the conclusion of the BBQ it was back into our “Stangs” for the trip up the freeway, through the popular Heysen Tunnels, to Auchendarroch House for coffee and cake. Our host, Steve Skinner, Manager at Auchendarroch House, guided 30 Mustangs onto the manicured lawns where the lighting and Christmas colour helped add to a spectacular display.
Steve, a Ford enthusiast, goes out of his way to make us welcome every time we visit. (We suspect it also gives him the perfect excuse to drive his beautiful Ford Falcon to work.)
The Robert Charles Room transformed, just for one night, into the Mustangs On The Move Room and a great event was enjoyed by all. See you all there
later this year!
