A pleasant Sunday morning and a group of shiny Ford Mustangs rolling into the Burnside council chambers car park a great start to what was to be a good day a little bit of a problem in that we had to spilt our group as we were not the only ones starting from this point ,however Mustangers are a hardy lot and runners were soon in place to ensure we were all on the same page.
Our organizer Craig handed out run sheets and advised that we would stop for coffee twenty minutes down the track at the Mount Lofty botanical gardens.
Adam and his coffee van were good to go as we drove into the gardens and judging from the line up he did a good trade, he was smiling when we left bound for Howards Vineyard at Nairne.
The run took us through Summertown, Uraidla,Carey Gully and then wound into Balhannah to little Hampton before rolling into Nairne, a good drive though the odd one me included missed a turn in Balhannah much to Tony Day’s delight.
The line up of club cars with our flags flying looked impressive as we enjoyed lunch on the verandah listening to music from a quartet and sipping the fruit of the vine.
Thanks to Craig for organizing our Christmas lunch run.
