When ‘All American Day’ comes to mind, your first thought is likely to be about the variety of classic cars that will be on display, the second thought is likely to be how hot can it get?
For the past three years, temperatures nudging the 40’s have made attendance difficult for even diehard enthusiasts. In the week leading up to February 21, the forecast was for a 39 degree+ day and so, with safety and well-being foremost in our minds, a decision was made to cancel the event as a club run. Members were, of course, still welcome to attend.
As it turned out, the forecasters got it wrong and so Sunday was not as hot as expected. As a Northerner I am close to Tilley Reserve so I jumped into the Mustang and went for a look, delighted to find that Brian and Roger Delaine had beaten me there and were proudly representing Mustangs On The Move.
The milder conditions meant that, within an hour, there were a large array of vintage and classic vehicles on display. Our Club had six Mustangs lined up, along with a visitor’s Galaxie Convertible.
Thanks go to those members who attended for helping ensure that Mustangs On The Move was well represented.
